Affordable House Kits - Affordable Home Kits

An Affordable House Kit is a fast, budget-friendly solution that allows you to get the entire exterior shell of your home built, dried-in, and protected from the weather—without paying the high markup of a traditional general contractor. Each kit includes the full structural framing, roof system, house wrap, windows, doors, and all essential materials needed to establish the complete footprint of your home.

Once the shell is up, you can finish the interior at your own pace—either DIY or by hiring subcontractors—saving thousands compared to paying premium full-build pricing. This is why these kits have become extremely popular nationwide.

Due to this high demand, current production time is approximately 18–20 weeks from order to shipment.

All kits feature 2×6 exterior stud walls (code-ready) and 2×4 interior wall framing for your room layout. Custom changes start at $2,500, plus any additional material or structural requirements.

Engineered Drawings Notice

We do not provide engineered drawings with these kits, as we ship nationwide and each county has different code requirements.
If your county requires stamped or engineered plans:

  1. Start with the generic plans we make available on our website.

  2. Have a local engineer or architect convert them into county-approved plans.

  3. After you receive your engineered plans, we can modify your kit so it matches your local code requirements.

Installation Policy

Because of how busy we have become, we now only offer installation within 150 miles of our Scottsburg, Indiana location.

For customers outside this radius:

  • These kits are sold as DIY installations, or

  • You may have them installed by your own local contractor.

We do not refer contractors, except for builders who are directly part of the Amish or Mennonite communities we already partner with.
